GTB® Steel Corporation (Pvt) Ltd. is an industry leader acclaimed for introducing Thermo Mechanically Treated (TMT) reinforcement steel manufacturing to Sri Lanka. Established in 1999 as one of the largest BOI ventures, we commenced manufacturing and marketing TMT steel bars of profoundly superior quality.
The technological advancements of TMT steel bars manufactured by GTB® Steel ensure distinct advantages including higher bond strength, excellent bendability, superior weldability, higher corrosion resistance, superior seismic resistance and many more.

The micro-structure of GTB® TMT RB500 steel is an integration of a strong outer layer of tempered Martensite and a ductile core of Ferrite Pearlite. This duplex structure gives GTB® TMT RB500 the added advantage of being an excellent combination of strength and ductility.

QUALITY BILLETS
Pristine quality steel billets manufactured by prime mills where ladle refining with continuous billet casting are sourced by GTB for manufacturing GTB® TMT RB500 steel rebars.

DURABILITY AND SAFETY
GTB® TMT RB500 steel bars, designed with a uniform rib pattern throughout the bars, using automated milling machines ensure perfectly bonded strength between steel and concrete.

BENDABILITY
Tougher outer-surface and soft core achieved through the controlled process of THERMEX TMT Technology makes GTB® TMT RB500 steel bars exceptionally bendable. The bars can withstand extreme bends around mandrels way beyond than those specified in SLS 375: 2009 and BS 4449: 2005 standards.

WELDABILITY
GTB® TMT RB500 steel bars are characterized by Carbon Equivalent (CE) values well below the specified maximum limit. This chemical composition adds good weldability properties to GTB® Steel reinforcement bars. Chemistry and mechanical properties of products as compared to SLS 375:2009,
BS 4449:2005.

We at GTB® STEEL CORPORATION PRIVATE LIMITED are committed to manufacture and supply of REINFORCEMENT STEEL BARS, with brand named as
- “GTB® TMT RB500”, which conforms to Customers’ quality requirements as per SLS 375 : 2009 (Conforms to BS4449)
- “GTB® PLAIN PB300”, which conforms to SLS 26:1993 standards. The Company continues to strive for its goal of achieving the top position amongst the similar product manufacturers in Sri Lanka.
This Policy has been communicated across the Organization and all our work-force are trained and empowered to fulfill their obligations in meeting the customers’ product requirements.
This Policy forms the basis of our Quality Objectives of Continuous Improvement in all our activities by timely upgrading the technology and reviewing & improving the Infrastructure.

Environmental Policy
GTB® Steel is a Company manufacturing Steel products where our manufacturing processes conform to the environmental policy of Sri Lanka. The formulation of our environmental policy depends on various factors related to the needs already envisaged to achieve expected positive results.
The main emphasis is laid on available human resources, and available time in the working environment. Availability of natural resources takes a significant controlling prerogative in the environmental policy making of our company. The stability and longevity of our organization has been unshakable due to the stable environmental policy which displays the strength of our organization.
Our policy makers are erudite, experienced and matured persons so that the contents of our environmental policy unshakeable, unchangeable and can be easily expedited.
